About Me
Illustrator, Mass Communicator.
I’m Norangel Alvarez, a Venezuelan illustrator and multidisciplinary creative based in Georgia. My work blends semi-realism with anime influences, characterized by dynamic poses, bold compositions, and expressive visual storytelling. Over the years, I’ve developed a unique style that reflects both technical precision and emotional depth, shaped by influences ranging from editorial photography to impressionism.
Beyond illustration, I bring a strong foundation in Mass Communication (B.A.), a Master’s in Editorial and Advertising Illustration, and a Digital Marketing Science Certificate. This mix of artistic and communication studies allows me to merge creativity with strategy—building not only impactful artwork but also meaningful connections with audiences.
Currently, I serve as Gallery Coordinator, Head of Marketing & Graphic Design, and Board Member at the Suwanee Arts Center, where I curate exhibitions, design visual campaigns, and support fellow artists. My work has been recognized through awards such as the Mosaic Exhibit 3rd Place and the People’s Choice Award, as well as features in Suwanee Magazine, Voyage Atlanta, Shoutout Atlanta, and others.
Alongside institutional work, I’ve been an independent artist and small business owner since 2016, producing commissions, publishing my first art book The Art of Norangel (2024), and showcasing at exhibitions and festivals across Georgia and Venezuela.
For me, art is more than a profession — it’s a way to tell stories, connect communities, and inspire others to embrace creativity.
